A joint venture between sculptors Wrightson & Platt and designer Laban Roomes of Goldgenie, the portrait service could only ever be used by the very rich or the extremely vain (probably both). For around £50,000, those head-over-heels in love with themselves can be immortalised forever in precious metals and stones. The high-end portraits are sculpted at a London-based studio and then sent elsewhere in England to be cast in whatever material the client has, er, taking a shining to. Finally, the posh portraits are completed at Goldgenie's premises in Hatton Garden, where they are embellished with rich stones. While we can only imagine the likes of Paris Hilton splashing that kind of cash on themselves in the middle of the recession, we've got to admit that it's pretty damn cool.
