As the magazine's biggest-selling issue, the annual Design Awards edition celebrates the coolest ideas and brightest sparks out there, from architecture through to fashion. This year the fifth Design Awards are being celebrated with an elaborate party in Paris on 22 January that will laugh in the face of the recession, co-hosted by none other than R&B superstar Kanye West. With a keen eye for style, he is the perfect addition to the superstar judging panel, which includes Sir Ken Adam, Jean Nouvel, Marc Newson, Stefano Piltai and Indes de la Fressange. Wallpaper* editor-in-chief Tony Chambers said; "The Design Awards are our annual pat on the back to the people and places that have made our year that extra bit special. And this year we've been helped out by a panel of judges which is arguably our most talented and eclectic yet. The Design Awards issue is our most eagerly anticipated editions and this year's certainly won't disappoint."
