Bags Of Style
Shot as part of the luxury French brand's spring campaign, the atmospheric snaps show the queen of pop in the kind of French bistro setting that wouldn't look out of place in a film noir. Louis Vuitton's creative director, Marc Jacobs, was the one to choose the singer as the brand's new face, and says of the project; "I still feel it looks like beautiful, gorgeous Madonna. Excepting the references and excepting the clichés, this still feels very today. And it didn't feel so much like a fashion shoot, it feels like portraits." Shot by legendary fashion photographer Steven Meisel, the campaign is made up of six separate photos, all of which depict Madonna as the sultry sexbomb we all know and love. While we're not so sure it's entirely necessary for Madonna to once again show us all how flexible she is, we do like the campaign very much. And we bet it pains ex Guy Ritchie to see Madge with her legs so splayed. Expect to see it on the glossy pages of magazines from February 2009.
