Hosted high above the City in the gorgeous Penthouse Suite, the party was the pink-carpet event of the year with the cream of London society rocking up to help Gunpowder celebrate. As you'd expect, the theme was an elaborate Guy Fawkes party complete with faux rockets and a bar adorned with a dramatic firework design. As all the guests agreed, the launch was a luxurious alternative to standing in a soggy park somewhere with a fading sparkler! The ambience was as sexy as you'd expect from a Gunpowder party, with flamboyant pink lighting, sultry music and mist that oozed seductively from pots! Indeed, Elton John himself couldn't have created a camper venue! The Gunpowder logo was even projected onto the roof of a building opposite to add to the truly spectacular setting. Packed out with London's top movers and shakers, including magazine editors, publicists, PRs and fashion types, the event was a melting pot of media magic that enabled guests from all kinds of fabulous industries to mingle and mooch. Celebrities turned up in their dozens, too, including Katy Brand, Brian Friedman, Meg Matthews, Shaznay Lewis, Sarah Barrand, Alexander Armstrong, Ben Miller, Hofit Golan, Katy Edwards and Konnie Huq, amongst others. Everyone seemed to be having a rocking time, as champagne was quaffed, Mojitos were downed and pomegranate Cosmos were necked. And things only got better as lipsmackingly good food was brought out on silver trays, Gunpowder opting for mini hamburgers, mini hotdogs and newspaper-wrapped fish and chips instead of fussy canapés that nobody ever eats. The party then continued at hip hangout Whisky Mist, where revellers danced on tables and drank themselves silly until the small hours. A good night had by the team here at Gunpowder, from what we can remember!
