Dot Cotton
The Japanese label, spearheaded by founder Rei Kawakubo, has teamed up with the high-street retailer to create an avant-garde line of womenswear, menswear, childrenswear and accessories, as well as a unique unisex fragrance. Kawakubo said; "I have always been interested in the balance between creation and business. It is a dilemma, although for me creation has always been the first priority. It is a fascinating challenge to work with H&M since it is a chance to take the dilemma to its extreme, and try to solve it." Creative advisor for H&M, Margareta van den Bosch, added; "Rei Kawabubo has been at the top of our wish list for a long time and we are thrilled that she had chosen to collaborate with it." Kawakubo is the last in a long line of collaborators with the chain, which has included the likes of Stella McCartney, Viktor & Rolf, Madonna and Roberto Cavalli. We, for one, can't wait to see what the famous design powerhouse has in store for us.
