Taking its design cue from the trendy bars found along Miami's sun-washed avenues, Vanilla proves that just because London doesn't have sun and surf doesn't mean it can't have sex appeal. Indeed, if walls could talk those inside Vanilla would whisper sweet nothings, offer compliments and ask to buy you a drink! With room for 60 Cosmopolitan-clinking guests, Vanilla is all about LED mood lighting, chilled-out lounge music, damask-patterns, mirrored walls, delicate drapes and dazzling handmade chandeliers. But while these are all very nice touches, the focal point of Vanilla is the futuristic white bar that is usually propped up by London's most fashionable movers and shakers. As you'd expect, many of Vanilla's guests come for the Sex and the City-style cocktails on offer, which are as provocatively put-together as they are potent. There's also an extensive food menu for those who don't care about their size-0 waists, including a 'Credit Much Deal' that ensures guests can still dine style in the face of the recession. Combining style and substance, vanilla just got a whole new flavour.
