Raising The Bar
Located on the site of the former Sugar Club, The Club Bar & Dining has been running its well-oiled operation since 2006. To be honest, we can't believe we've only just found it - we thought we had drank our way through every watering-hole in London Town! Classy and discreet, the venue is a breath of fresh air from the City's usual trendy haunts; those usually brimming with trashy Big Brother stars and big-boobed glamour models. The Club Bar & Dining appeals to a different clientele altogether, with a casual air about it that enables dressed-down shoppers to pop in for a quick bite to eat or office-workers to grab a spontaneous drink on their way home from work. The dining part of the venue's name takes place on the ground floor, where all-day eating is enjoyed beside an open kitchen. The options are endless, with a seafood and raw bar, seasonal meats and game, salads and sandwiches, and, best of all, small plates to share. Those who prefer a diet of the liquid variety can make their way down to the loungy bar beneath, where expertly-mixed cocktails are shaken up by flashy mixologists with cheeky grins on their faces.
