Using simple subjects to show us what everyday objects would look like going through an airport x-ray machine, Veasey's work is both revealing and intriguing. But while his object-orientated snaps are incredible to look at, it is Veasey's work with people that is most interesting. Our favourite is a photograph that shows what an x-ray of a man with a gun in his mouth would look like, proving that Veasey isn't one to shy away from controversy. Slighty less shocking but no less provocative is a snap of a bus and its skeletal passengers, which shows just how simple things become when converted into flat, one-dimensional images. Using sophisticated x-ray cameras to capture the ghostly renderings, Veasey proves once and for all that beauty is more than just skin deep.
