Walk On Water
Able to house 50,000 lucky inhabitants who haven't perished in an Apocalyptic-style disaster on shore, the floating structure - dubbed only as the Lilypad - is proof that someone, somewhere is finally doing something about the catastrophic effects of climate change. For crying out loud, has nobody seen The Day After Tomorrow?! Hoping to transform his clever design into a reality by 2100 (he's obviously planning on living a very long time), Callebaut calls it a "floating ecopolis for climate refugees", with its tip poking out of the water to absorb solar energy and its bottom submerged to act as a bed for sealife. With its walls and roof covered in grasses, the Lilypad is like a modern-day Noah's Ark, with Callebaut firmly at the helm. Come Judgement Day, we, for one, certainly wouldn't mind being onboard with him.
