The Odd Couple
The first Viktor + Rolf exhibition ever to be held in the UK, the show will mark more than ten years of the duo's work, and, in characteristic style, will dominate the entire gallery. But instead of using models or mannequins (which, apparently, are so last year), the Dutch wonder-boys are dressing up two-foot dolls in scaled-down remakes of their greatest couture creations. Taking double the time to make than the original outfits, the miniature clothes are beautifully detailed and replicate the designers' signature pieces from 1992 until now. Viktor said: "For us, fashion is an antidote to reality." Indeed, which is why the exhibition is more theatrical than most West End performances, beautifully interwoven with flashes of irony and satire.
