Now appearing in print-and tv-ads for Davidoff's new scent, its first since the ever-popular Cool Water, Scotland-born Ewan McGregor show us that he's not as self-righteous as everyone first thought. Having climbed down off his high horse, he's joined the product-endorsement bandwagon and is making a buck or two from consumerism himself - why shouldn't he get in on the action when others are so joyously reaping the rewards? Created by perfumer Antoine Lie for Coty, the fragrance is something the actor truly believes in. He said: "The fragrance appeals to people's sense of adventure, and I'm very proud to be associated with it." Yeah, right - it's got nothing to do with the cold, hard cash he's stuffing into his pockets for getting in front of the camera. When it comes down to it, the mighty one is just like the rest of us - and we're glad! As well as fronting the campaign, Ewan's also releasing no less than seven movies this year, proving that he isn't afraid of good-old fashioned work, either. We like this man more and more.
